The Beginning
Where It All Began
Little Bear Leather is more than a small business—it's a family tradition built on craftsmanship, hard work, and cherished memories. Growing up, I spent countless weekends with my dad traveling to fairs and festivals, where he taught me the value of quality craftsmanship, treating people with kindness, and taking pride in creating something with your own hands. Those weekends shaped who I am and inspired a lifelong love for handmade leather goods. After losing my dad in my twenties, I knew I wanted to carry on the tradition he started. Today, while working as a traveling nurse, my husband, Matt, and I created Little Bear Leather to honor his legacy and build something meaningful for our family. Together with our four children, we're creating new memories while passing down the same skills, work ethic, and appreciation for handmade craftsmanship that my dad instilled in me. Our hope is that one day our children will continue this tradition for generations to come. Every belt, wallet, dog collar, leash, and leather accessory is handcrafted using premium full-grain leather and built to be used, appreciated, and passed down for years to come. We love traveling to fairs, festivals, rodeos, and Western events, where we can share our work, meet incredible people, and continue the tradition that has meant so much to our family. How We Work
Every piece goes through the same careful process — from selecting the hide to the final edge finish.
Select the Hide
We hand-select every piece of full-grain leather for quality, thickness, and character before a single cut is made.
Cut & Tool
Patterns are cut by hand and tooled with stamps and carving tools to create texture, detail, and personalization.
Saddle Stitch
Every seam is hand-stitched using the traditional saddle stitch — stronger and more durable than any machine stitch.
Finish & Condition
Edges are burnished smooth, hardware is set, and the leather is conditioned to protect and enhance its natural beauty.
